The Network currently operates as an Operational Delivery Network within a defined governance and accountability structure. This is guided by a number of key objectives which form the Network Work Plan. The Network Objectives and Work Plan are set by the Network Board.
Network objectives contribute to national targets and influence work undertaken in Trusts to achieve key performance targets. Participant members and member organisations continue to work together to better understand the patients and their needs; this includes the involvement of patients and their representatives through local and regional mechanisms. The Network is currently working with commissioners and providers to ensure that capacity within the region is sufficient to meet the needs of the patient demographics in the region.
