The Network is a non-statutory organisation designed to deliver a collaborative model of care to improve the experience and outcomes for major trauma patients in the region. Focusing on co-ordinating pathways of care, the Network works closely with patient representatives, commissioners, providers and other stakeholders and clinical networks to ensure access to high quality care. The Network operates within a defined governance structure with clear lines of accountability and responsibility.
The EMMTN is constituted of representative members from commissioner and provider organisations in the region as well as from other affiliated organisations. Membership of the Network Board is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure appropriate representation from participant member organisations. Where a gap is identified, the Network Director or Chair will contact the relevant CEO to request a representative member.
