Membership and Engagement
The EMMTN is constituted of representative members from commissioner and provider organisations in the region as well as from other affiliated organisations. Membership of the Network Board is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure appropriate representation from participant member organisations. Where a gap is identified, the Network Director will contact the relevant CEO to request a representative member.
The EMMTN has solid engagement with clinicians, commissioners and managers which has contributed to the effective development of major trauma services within the East Midlands region.
This approach has created an environment where clinicians and commissioners are willing to share their experience, skills and knowledge and a proactive approach to change has enhanced the development of clinical innovation and service delivery. In many instances this has improved consistency of service standards and equitable provision of care throughout the Network. The EMMTN takes a whole system approach to ensuring the delivery of safe and effective services across the health community and adds value for all its stakeholders.
