The Clinical Steering Group (CSG) is a professional advisory group to the Network Board on spinal service care and provision. Chaired by the Network Medical Lead, the Group meets quarterly and has responsibility for reviewing the clinical implications of local and national initiatives and providing evidence based expert opinion recommendations to the Board.
The CSG functions as a regional Clinical Governance Group and, as such, members review governance issues, identify lessons learned through sharing incidents and support recommendations that aim to minimise risk. The Group links to national initiatives through the Clinical Reference Group Lead, produces and updates shared pathways and regional policies, identifies service improvement requirements, shares good practice and identifies opportunities for research, audit, service evaluation and quality service improvement.
Terms of Reference, minutes of meetings and agendas are available on request from the Network Manager [email protected]
Meetings are held via MS Teams and are held quarterly.
