The Network Self-Assessment Tool was designed to support member organisations to monitor themselves against evidence based standards and national guidelines as well as providing an opportunity for them to benchmark against each other, aiming to reduce variation in practice through directing improvements in spinal care across the region.
The self-assessment process was initially developed within a Governance Framework and implemented across the East Midlands Critical Care Network. This has now been adapted for use in the Spinal and Major Trauma Networks.
Carried out every two years, this tool facilitates immediate feedback to organisations and an amalgamated report, including findings from all our member organisations is formulated at the end of each assessment period.
Copies of the tool and advice on how this might be used in other organisations can be obtained via the Network Manager
